Senior Director of Cloud Architecture Description:
As a key member of our Dev and Cloud Ops Software Engineering team, your primary mission will be to enable the business to achieve all of its goals by implementing a wide array of innovative cloud native infrastructure for development, data, product, and AI platforms to ensure that we can operationally support our customers through first-class products. The infrastructure and platforms must meet the security requirements of a HIPAA / HITECH / HITRUST environment and leverage modern cloud technologies and services. Location:
This position is normally based onsite in our Technology hub of Minneapolis, MN but will be remote for the near to intermediate term due to COVID. We will also consider candidates located in one of our other geographic hubs:

Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the DevOps team lead and principal architect, and working with a dynamic team of two DevOps engineers, build out and maintain secure enterprise wide cloud environments that deliver the necessary business functionality for all internal and external stakeholders Support hundreds of services and data stores in a microservice architecture, automating and operationalize all aspects of cloud environment creation and maintenance Collaborate with key engineering, operational, and business stakeholders to build from scratch these secure cloud services in an innovative way, utilizing modern technologies and services emphasizing containerization, serverless, and streaming technologies. Collaborate with current team members, including the team lead/principal architect, delivery manager, security engineering, and others to enable secure, stable, and well maintained set of cloud environments to enable complex web and mobile properties Get stuff done Work with the team lead to break high level requirements down into manageable tasks for yourself and others Support all cloud engineering activities, including CI/CD tooling build out, serverless framework selection, data storage architecture and technologies, automated testing frameworks, development best practices, and debugging and application monitoring solutions Experiment and develop novel solutions to complex problems Meet all development practices and influence information security best practices to ensure all compliance requirements are met Follow all IT policies and make recommendations to improve such policies to ensure an agile and innovative culture Ensure all proper monitoring and redundancy is in place to ensure the reliability required by the business and its products utilizing modern SaaS based solutions Perform analysis on incidents and quality of service to improve all facets of support over time Stay abreast of innovative and new cloud and service technologies and solutions to reduce overhead, cost, and maintenance Take personal responsibility for keeping all Well systems and data, including sensitive member data, secure and safe, according to Well data and security policies and HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
Eligible to work in the U.S. 5
years of Dev or Cloud Ops engineering experience Proven experience in cloud infrastructure tools such as Terraform Credibility from a technology perspective, including recent projects, solutions, and build out examples Experience in event driven and distributed services Knowledgeable in at least one modern public cloud offering (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience in cloud programming languages such as JavaScript or Golang Familiarity with industry leading cloud technologies such as DynamoDB, BigQuery, Lambda, Terraform, API Gateway, and Kinesis Experience with using open source libraries to expedite delivery of an application Work using agile methodologies and open to exploring new ways to ensure rapid delivery of features in a secure and robust manner; ability to participate in individual sprints and iterations Experience in high security cloud infrastructure preferred An innovative mindset Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations for all levels of management Experience in/ability to navigate a venture-backed startup Demonstrated collaborative style, with the ability to influence diverse teams and build strong relationships across various internal stakeholders and constituents Education:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
DevOps & Site ReliabilityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
