Divisional Registered Dietitian - NV, WY, MT

EmpRes Healthcare is accepting applications for a Divisional Registered Dietitian. This position provides consultation and oversight to the 18 skilled nursing centers and their Registered Dietitians in Wyoming, Montana, and Nevada. Reporting to the Divisional VP of Operations, this career opportunity supports the regulations set forth by State and Federal Nutrition Standards and ensures Company Policies are followed and in place. The ideal candidate will be well versed in teaching, mentoring and collaborating with the food and nutrition teams in the center to continue to meet and exceed the Quality Standards. This position is 80% travel in support of the operations.
Planning, Organizing, Evaluating Regulatory Compliance

  • Work with centers within the Division for review of overall food and nutrition services functions
  • Work with Registered Dietitians within the Division, reviewing their reports, providing follow up on areas they identify needing support, provides training to the dietitians as needed
  • Assists in implementing efficient procedures and systems and adherence to state and federal regulations and company policies
Food Service and Nutrition Management
  • Works with Center s Food and Nutrition Services Manager on kitchen and dining operations, including menu revisions as needed
  • Monitor Food and Nutrition Services dept expenses for centers within the Division. This includes expenses such as food/supplements, supplies, equipment and labor
  • Makes recommendations to Nursing Services, Food and Nutrition Services and physicians on residents nutritional care and Center policies
  • Assists with training of new RD s and new Food and Nutrition Services Managers within the Division
  • Plan/lead Food and Nutrition Services meetings and conference calls for the Division
  • Provide additional training to Food and Nutrition services staff and Center staff as needed
  • May serve as a preceptor for those employees taking the Dietary Managers course
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to travel to Centers within the Division
  • Ability to travel and/or attend educational offerings presented by the center, company or professional associations
  • Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other Center staff. Possesses special interest in and a positive attitude about working with long term care residents and the elderly
  • Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability
Education, Licensure and Experience
  • Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • State RD licensure or certification (as required by state regulations)
  • Prefer long term care and/or supervisory experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
